COF September Blog Hop

Welcome to the first Crafters of Faith Blog Hop! We are so blessed to have you stop by and celebrate the beauty of AUTUMN with us! The Crafters of Faith blogging group is a joyous blending of christian friends ~ joined together to fellowship, share our faith, build friendships and craft together! If you are just visiting and would like to hop with us, welcome! If you hopping along already, you should have arrived from Jackie's blog over at Kreatewithme2.

This month, our hostess is Carol over at billsfavoritestamper.blogspot.com/  She gave us a wonderful Harvest challenge and here is what she asked us to create: "I love FALL, the colors and the smells! I would like to propose that we make a card with fall colors, it should include fruits and vegetables to remind us of the harvest. When my kids were small, I canned peaches and pears, made pickles and such. So much fun to open those jars in the dead of winter! I am looking so forward to the fall festival of Sukkoth (Feast of Tabernacles). To Biblical historians, this is the actual time of Christ's Birth and many people believe this will also be the season of HIS return. Blessings All!"

To celebrate in this glorious season upon us, here is the card I created for you!

My jar stamp & God Loves you are both from Inkadinkado , spellbinders Lattice Borderabilities Petite  to make the lid for my jar ,Assorted Fresh Fruit from spellbinders for my Apples, Spellbinders S-4-265 shapeabilties Cross Collection Die template for my cross, for my border on top I used
spellbinders Big Scalloped Border Petites and my tag is  Labels Ten also from spellbinders. My paper is from DCWV and I cut some paper to put in the jar to look like homemade applesause. Yum Yum I remember making this as a kid with my grandmother.

From here, continuing hopping to Sharon over at ScrappingMum to see what Autumn splendor she has waiting for you! We also have a special little giveaway for one lucky hopper today and you can find that on Kelly's blog Sandcastle Stamper the last stop on the hop!

Thank you for stopping by today! In this glorious season of Fall, and the wonders of the earth changing to gorgeous colors .... in a time of gratitude and thanksgiving ... we wish many blessings for you!

Boxes are packed

Happy Thursday ,

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far and the storms stayed away .

It's going to be a very busy a week here Were moving and the boxes are packed and ready to be loaded ,its been hard having all my craft stuff boxed up and not being able to play for the last week, I have so much to do once I get them to our new place but I'm so excited, since we don' t use a formal dinning room I'm going to turn that into my office so I will have so much more space to work and leave stuff out when I'm working on it so now I've got to come up with some cleaver ideals to keep everything hidden away since there won't be a closet to put it all in but my brain is thinking of so many things to do , my Dh is having a heart attack at the ideal of me painting our china cabnet so I may have to work around that for now but I'm thinking it could be some great storage.

Hope you all have a Happy Weekend and the next time I see  you I'll be in our new home !

Big Hugs ,

What will it be???

As some of you know my daughter is having another baby and were so excited to have him or her join their big brother so to let everyone know what she is having we made a special card.

I used spellbinders banner die, spellbinders circles and Cricut create a critter for this cute giraffe.

We made a mixture of silver paint and dish soap ( at the bottom of this post) we typed the gender on paper then cut out and painted with the paint and sent a penny to everyone to scratch off and  reveal the gender.

What do you think little girl pink or little boy blue?

Prepare your mixture. Two parts paint for every one part dish soap. Mix it up good, but try not to stir too aggressively - you don't want too many little bubbles.
Use thin, even layers. Don't worry if you can still see through it after the first coat, it will most likely take two or three coats to get it all covered.

Be sure to check back this week to see what are new family member will be!

Hugs

COF July Challenge

Today we have this beautiful Butterfly girl stamp that our Host Kelly surprised us with in the mail, along with the supplies to make it .

When I took everything out the Buttons they landed by this cute image and I said it looks like she's holding a lollipop I'm sorry but I couldn't get that out of my mind and so I went with it.

I propped her on the green ledge to look like she was sitting , I just love the saying on this paper and played with it by using a spellbinder heart and printing" = You" on it to give a friend, I colored the cute girl with copics and some glitter for her wings , I also used the purple ribbon from Kelly and then layered it on some colored card stock trying to use the colors in the pretty flower paper. On the inside I used a Fiskars heart punch and some left over green card stock for a little border .

Thanks Kelly for such a fun card , I had so much fun :)

Please be sure to stop by all my fiends on my side bar to see all the cute cards made using this very sweet girl.

COF June Challenge

Hi Blog land friends,

Its the end of the month again and that means COF Challenge is here.

This month it was my turn and I wanted something that screamed "Fun in the Sun" .
I wanted to see:

A Sun, something Blue, at least one thing using Pop dots, and some Summer toys, bike, swimming toys, what ever is your ideal of Summer toys ,I wanted  to do something with the inside of my card , I just love how some of the ladies do theirs and this is something I wanted to work on myself so what better way. So I hope everyone enjoyed and had fun with this months Challenge. Make sure to hop on over to all of the COF and see their exciting creations. Listed on my side bar.

So here is the card I created:

This little Chanito was one that I put on my desk months ago to use and was my inspiration for my COF Challenge , I first used some left over paper I used for some bottle wraps I made for a party the first of the month, then stamped my cute Monkey , I masked his inner tube then stamped my layers of water using some foam stamps I had gotten Yikes 10 years ago that had never been opened from Making Memories, the sun and beach ball are also from this set, I cut some wavy paper to look like sand dunes and layered it with the top one on pop dots, for my sand castle and bird I used a Inkadinkado stamp and cut the bird off and stuck him behind the layer of sand I used pop dots for the castle ,  for the inside I used the same sky paper and cut a plane using the Beep Beep cricut cartridge and the banner from the Baby Shower cricut cartridge and this cute stamp Fun-n-Sun ( sorry no name on it , funny how we find things we never use) and stamped a wave across the bottom.

As I was making this card we got an invite for our great Nephew's 6 birthday party at the beach so you know where this card will be heading.

Make sure to check back at the end of July to see what are talented Linda of http://paynehollercards.blogspot.com/ has asked us to come up with .

COF May Flowers

Hi There blog family!

Today is the last day of the Month and that means COF are here to show off their May Challenge from our good friend Patti!!!

Thanks Patti, for a great story and Challenge!
Our May Challenge was from Patti"Ok I got it! When my kids were little they made May flower baskets. They would hang them on a couple of the elderly neighbor's doors, knock and run! It was so much fun! So I want to see May flowers in baskets... either stamped or 3D which ever you want! I can't wait to see what you come up with! {{{Hugs}}}"

I didn't have a basket but I found a watering can full of flowers and since I can't put it on a neighbors door and run I made it for an elderly lady and mailed it to her hope it brightens her day.

My stamp I think is from Hero arts ( I brought 600 stamps off ebay when someone was closing their doors years ago so I don't remember for sure) my words are from House mouse, embossing folder from cuttlebug, paper from my scrap-box , buttons have been calling me for weeks so I promised them a place, ribbon from Joann's.

Hope you all had a wonderful May and our looking forward to a summer full of fun

Spring is coming !

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Today I'm posting a picture of  signs I made for our Church Plant sale.

I used Walk in my Garden & Plantin SchoolBook for the letters and the grass.

Do you ever start something and it takes on a life of its own? well thats what happened here, I was looking for a wheelbarrow one day and was on the joanns web site and came across this cricut cartridge now I'm new to the cricut and wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money on the cartridge just for a wheelbarrow but it was on sale on line for 29.00 so I decided to go look around well it wasn't on sale in the store but learned that if I could bring the ad up on my phone they will price match plus I had a 10.00 off coupon that the lady used so it was only 19.00 Yeah ! and did I get my money's worth.

One of the things I really like about this sign is that next year you just have to remove the date and the paper with the potting party dates on it and slide a new date year after year in to the clear sleeves ( my son gets these comic books that come in these great sleeves along with cardbord that I have found many many uses for) another fun thing are my flower pots I cut two 5 inch pots for each sign and made a box to hold the information sheets ( the flower pots are held on with Velcro so they can come off for easy storage) I used Spellbinders  Curved Rectangles for the information sheets to look like seed packets. I put styrofoam in the bottoms  of each flower pot and glued brown paper on top to make it look like dirt so my information sheets would pop out the top.

I had so much fun making 2 of these signs even though my family thought I was Crazy :) even after I cut and glued everything it still took me 6 1/2 hours to put each sign together I spent over 30 hours making these but it was so Worth it!! :)

Thanks for looking,

Hugs to all

Crafters of Faith

I'm Late I'm Late for a very important Date!

Morning bloggers, What a busy busy last few weeks here, I've been busy with handing out food and clothing at our church for the Tornado victims in our town that touched down March 15th , I love our little town you can feel the love as soon as you enter.

For the month of March our hostess Carolina from crafters of Faith  wanted us to make a card using a "lighthouse", "two pieces of paper" and some" Bling" I used this teal design paper and put it on some purple ,once I put the Bling on it kind of hides it ,opps and then I used some bling that has a hint of blue in them along the sides and around my light house which is Thomas Kinkade The Light of Peace" I then cut a frame using a spellbinder die and adding bling around it, I also used a Spellbinder die for my cross, I cut the first layer with gold metal and then the top layers is white paper added a pearl in the middle then added some flowers in the corner with some more pearls . On the inside I wrote " A reassuring presence A Light when times are dark, A hand reaching out, Is what Friendship is about  "
I like how it turned out and can't wait to mail it to one of my Friends.

Thanks for looking and I'll be back real soon.

Crafters of Faith challenge

Crafters Of Faith Febuary Challenge:

Today I have a post for our Crafters of Faith challenge our Hostess Jackie wanted us to create something with LOVE in mind.....with a bit of a twist we were to use NON TRADITIONAL colors at least 1 circle shape on our creation and have NATURE as the main theme. I hope this fits the bill.

I chose this light house over looking the water for me it is just so peaceful , I am always looking for cards to make for men , so I decided to go with browns , yellow , green and blue with some twine ,wire and some shells. I generate the words for sign on the computer "My light shines only for you" think I'll give to Hubby when he isn't excepting it.

Hope you all have a wonderful Day

Crafters of Faith

Footprints Prayer

Today our hostess was unable to be with us so were holding off on our scheduled card , We love you Jackie and miss you.

Today for our Crafters of Faith group I am posting this card. I need a card for a young man who needed some comfort as he goes though some rough times in life. I often look upon this Prayer when I want to let someone know how much they mean and that they are not alone in their journeys.
.
I made it simple because I did not want to take away from the prayer,
I used a brass stencil I had of some baby feet  to emboss to look like feet walking on the sand.
Remember we are never alone in our travels though life, God is always walking with us .

May you always know God's Love

Silly Monkey &Taggie

Happy Tuesday Everyone !!! I'm feeling good, I've made 2 cards in 24 hours ,I do pray that my Crafters Block is over  . I feel so blue when I can not craft:(

Here is a card I made for my grandson Renner to give to Carol the very nice lady from Church who made him the Taggie.

I cased Sam007 over on SCS she made a really cute card called Bundle of Joy, I knew when I saw her card I wanted to do the patchwork she did ,I also used her ideal for the border and the layering. So here  is a big shot out to Sam007 for sharing your card and giving me the inspiration to make this one.

I used my cricut that I'm just loving and wonder why I never got one before ,I guess it was because I was into rubber stamping and then the cuttlebug and sizzix big shot pro , I'm so Thankful my daughter saw this great machine and knew her Mom would love it. So Thanks Danyelle for telling your brothers Mom wanted this even though I didn't know I did :).

I used Create a Critter to make the Monkey and the banana's , I used MS punch for the border , I used pop dots on the Monkey.
Hope You all have a Blessed day and stay warm and safe if you got any snow.
Hugs ,

"Creation"

Welcome to the last day of January, were did it go.

Today I'm posting a card made for our challenge by the Crafters of Faith. A group of 11 wonderful women , We've only just began our journey together .

We were to do a card that spoke to us about "Creation" using Green, yellow, blue and or brown.
I knew I wanted to use this stamp  which I got a few years back it spoke to me about Gods Creations.

I stamped it on blue paper to represent the sky and colored with white for the snow then cut out a moon using spellbinders circles and sponged around the edges, I used sizzix starts and wrote "When you hear his voice do not harden your heart" this is form "When you hear his voice" when we sang this at Church on Sunday I knew I wanted to use a line for my card. I used spellbinders for my frame . I took some clear stamps and spelled out"life" in yellow ink and stamped it on the tree line, For GOD created LIFE .

Be sure to stop over to all the others ladies and see their Wonderful cards and creations.

Hope you all have a Wonderful day,
Hugs Liz

Everyone needs a custom baby wipe case .
