Spring is coming !

Happy Sunday Everyone!

Today I'm posting a picture of  signs I made for our Church Plant sale.

I used Walk in my Garden & Plantin SchoolBook for the letters and the grass.

Do you ever start something and it takes on a life of its own? well thats what happened here, I was looking for a wheelbarrow one day and was on the joanns web site and came across this cricut cartridge now I'm new to the cricut and wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money on the cartridge just for a wheelbarrow but it was on sale on line for 29.00 so I decided to go look around well it wasn't on sale in the store but learned that if I could bring the ad up on my phone they will price match plus I had a 10.00 off coupon that the lady used so it was only 19.00 Yeah ! and did I get my money's worth.

One of the things I really like about this sign is that next year you just have to remove the date and the paper with the potting party dates on it and slide a new date year after year in to the clear sleeves ( my son gets these comic books that come in these great sleeves along with cardbord that I have found many many uses for) another fun thing are my flower pots I cut two 5 inch pots for each sign and made a box to hold the information sheets ( the flower pots are held on with Velcro so they can come off for easy storage) I used Spellbinders  Curved Rectangles for the information sheets to look like seed packets. I put styrofoam in the bottoms  of each flower pot and glued brown paper on top to make it look like dirt so my information sheets would pop out the top.

I had so much fun making 2 of these signs even though my family thought I was Crazy :) even after I cut and glued everything it still took me 6 1/2 hours to put each sign together I spent over 30 hours making these but it was so Worth it!! :)

Thanks for looking,

Hugs to all

When you're doing something for a good cause and when you love what you're doing, the hours don't seem to matter! You've come up with an eye-catching poster(s) for your sale and had fun doing it -- what can be better???
