COF September Blog Hop

Welcome to the first Crafters of Faith Blog Hop! We are so blessed to have you stop by and celebrate the beauty of AUTUMN with us! The Crafters of Faith blogging group is a joyous blending of christian friends ~ joined together to fellowship, share our faith, build friendships and craft together! If you are just visiting and would like to hop with us, welcome! If you hopping along already, you should have arrived from Jackie's blog over at Kreatewithme2.

This month, our hostess is Carol over at billsfavoritestamper.blogspot.com/  She gave us a wonderful Harvest challenge and here is what she asked us to create: "I love FALL, the colors and the smells! I would like to propose that we make a card with fall colors, it should include fruits and vegetables to remind us of the harvest. When my kids were small, I canned peaches and pears, made pickles and such. So much fun to open those jars in the dead of winter! I am looking so forward to the fall festival of Sukkoth (Feast of Tabernacles). To Biblical historians, this is the actual time of Christ's Birth and many people believe this will also be the season of HIS return. Blessings All!"

To celebrate in this glorious season upon us, here is the card I created for you!

My jar stamp & God Loves you are both from Inkadinkado , spellbinders Lattice Borderabilities Petite  to make the lid for my jar ,Assorted Fresh Fruit from spellbinders for my Apples, Spellbinders S-4-265 shapeabilties Cross Collection Die template for my cross, for my border on top I used
spellbinders Big Scalloped Border Petites and my tag is  Labels Ten also from spellbinders. My paper is from DCWV and I cut some paper to put in the jar to look like homemade applesause. Yum Yum I remember making this as a kid with my grandmother.

From here, continuing hopping to Sharon over at ScrappingMum to see what Autumn splendor she has waiting for you! We also have a special little giveaway for one lucky hopper today and you can find that on Kelly's blog Sandcastle Stamper the last stop on the hop!

Thank you for stopping by today! In this glorious season of Fall, and the wonders of the earth changing to gorgeous colors .... in a time of gratitude and thanksgiving ... we wish many blessings for you!

Boxes are packed

Happy Thursday ,

Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far and the storms stayed away .

It's going to be a very busy a week here Were moving and the boxes are packed and ready to be loaded ,its been hard having all my craft stuff boxed up and not being able to play for the last week, I have so much to do once I get them to our new place but I'm so excited, since we don' t use a formal dinning room I'm going to turn that into my office so I will have so much more space to work and leave stuff out when I'm working on it so now I've got to come up with some cleaver ideals to keep everything hidden away since there won't be a closet to put it all in but my brain is thinking of so many things to do , my Dh is having a heart attack at the ideal of me painting our china cabnet so I may have to work around that for now but I'm thinking it could be some great storage.

Hope you all have a Happy Weekend and the next time I see  you I'll be in our new home !

Big Hugs ,

What will it be???

As some of you know my daughter is having another baby and were so excited to have him or her join their big brother so to let everyone know what she is having we made a special card.

I used spellbinders banner die, spellbinders circles and Cricut create a critter for this cute giraffe.

We made a mixture of silver paint and dish soap ( at the bottom of this post) we typed the gender on paper then cut out and painted with the paint and sent a penny to everyone to scratch off and  reveal the gender.

What do you think little girl pink or little boy blue?

Prepare your mixture. Two parts paint for every one part dish soap. Mix it up good, but try not to stir too aggressively - you don't want too many little bubbles.
Use thin, even layers. Don't worry if you can still see through it after the first coat, it will most likely take two or three coats to get it all covered.

Be sure to check back this week to see what are new family member will be!

Hugs

COF July Challenge

Today we have this beautiful Butterfly girl stamp that our Host Kelly surprised us with in the mail, along with the supplies to make it .

When I took everything out the Buttons they landed by this cute image and I said it looks like she's holding a lollipop I'm sorry but I couldn't get that out of my mind and so I went with it.

I propped her on the green ledge to look like she was sitting , I just love the saying on this paper and played with it by using a spellbinder heart and printing" = You" on it to give a friend, I colored the cute girl with copics and some glitter for her wings , I also used the purple ribbon from Kelly and then layered it on some colored card stock trying to use the colors in the pretty flower paper. On the inside I used a Fiskars heart punch and some left over green card stock for a little border .

Thanks Kelly for such a fun card , I had so much fun :)

Please be sure to stop by all my fiends on my side bar to see all the cute cards made using this very sweet girl.

COF June Challenge

Hi Blog land friends,

Its the end of the month again and that means COF Challenge is here.

This month it was my turn and I wanted something that screamed "Fun in the Sun" .
I wanted to see:

A Sun, something Blue, at least one thing using Pop dots, and some Summer toys, bike, swimming toys, what ever is your ideal of Summer toys ,I wanted  to do something with the inside of my card , I just love how some of the ladies do theirs and this is something I wanted to work on myself so what better way. So I hope everyone enjoyed and had fun with this months Challenge. Make sure to hop on over to all of the COF and see their exciting creations. Listed on my side bar.

So here is the card I created:

This little Chanito was one that I put on my desk months ago to use and was my inspiration for my COF Challenge , I first used some left over paper I used for some bottle wraps I made for a party the first of the month, then stamped my cute Monkey , I masked his inner tube then stamped my layers of water using some foam stamps I had gotten Yikes 10 years ago that had never been opened from Making Memories, the sun and beach ball are also from this set, I cut some wavy paper to look like sand dunes and layered it with the top one on pop dots, for my sand castle and bird I used a Inkadinkado stamp and cut the bird off and stuck him behind the layer of sand I used pop dots for the castle ,  for the inside I used the same sky paper and cut a plane using the Beep Beep cricut cartridge and the banner from the Baby Shower cricut cartridge and this cute stamp Fun-n-Sun ( sorry no name on it , funny how we find things we never use) and stamped a wave across the bottom.

As I was making this card we got an invite for our great Nephew's 6 birthday party at the beach so you know where this card will be heading.

Make sure to check back at the end of July to see what are talented Linda of http://paynehollercards.blogspot.com/ has asked us to come up with .
